About the Institute

Welcome to Government Industrial Training Institute, Rudraprayag Located on the scenic Badrinath Highway, GITI Rudraprayag was established in 1989 and has since been a center of excellence in vocational education. The institute offers training in six NCVT trades with a total capacity of 148 trainees. Surrounded by a lush landscape and abundant greenery, the campus provides an ideal environment for learning and skill development.
Our mission is to impart high-quality training that equips students with practical skills to meet the growing demands of industry. The institute emphasizes character building, adaptability, and the holistic development of each trainee—physically, intellectually, and emotionally.

Objectives of GITIRudraprayag:

1. Provide a curriculum that nurtures responsible, well-balanced, and technically skilled citizens capable of thriving in modern industry or becoming future entrepreneurs.
2. Ensure a steady supply of skilled workers across diverse trades to support industrial growth.
3. Enhance both the quality and quantity of industrial production through systematic training.
4. Reduce unemployment among educated youth by preparing them for suitable industrial employment.

Principal's Message

Government Industrial Training Institute, Rudraprayag was established by Department of Skiils, Govt. of Uttarakhand with an aim to promote technical education to the aspiring youths of rural and remote hilly regions of the state for its socio economic development and to initiate an appropriate measures for curbing undue migration of local people from these areas to other places of the state or country.

The institute since its inception always strives to provide a conducive environment to its students to make them intellectually capable, innovative and entrepreneurial professionals in the existing technological arena. Government Industrial Training Institute, Rudraprayag also provides an educational training that promotes and emphasizes social awareness as well as development of professional skills among the students. We are in the pursuit of global standards of excellence in all our endeavours and we strive to aim at creating and imbibing all round personality development in our students professionally, socially and ethically.

We provide a congenial environment for the holistic growth and all round development of the students through suitably designed teaching & learning processes, periodic revision of curricula and induction of vibrant extra-curricular activities. Trades

Electrician

The Electrician trade trains students in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. ⚡ Trainees gain hands‑on skills in wiring, circuits, motors, and modern electrical equipment. 🔧 The course emphasizes safety practices, troubleshooting, and practical applications in industry.

Fitter

The Fitter trade equips trainees with skills in fitting, assembling, and maintaining mechanical systems. ⚙️ Students learn precision work with tools, machines, and engineering drawings. 🔧 Training emphasizes measurement, fabrication, and repair techniques used in modern industries.

Mechanic (Elex.)

The Mechanic (Electronics) trade trains students in installation, servicing, and repair of electronic equipment. ⚙️ Trainees gain practical skills in circuits, semiconductors, communication devices, and consumer electronics. 🔧 The course emphasizes testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of modern electronic systems.

Stenography (Hindi)

The Stenography trade trains students in shorthand writing, typing, and office communication skills. ⌨️ Trainees learn accurate transcription, document preparation, and modern computer applications. 📑 The course emphasizes speed, precision, and professional communication for administrative roles.

Welder (Gas & Elec.)

The Welder trade trains students in gas and electric welding techniques for industrial applications. ⚙️ Trainees learn cutting, joining, and fabrication of metals using modern welding equipment. 🔧 The course emphasizes precision, safety practices, and hands‑on workshop training.

Wireman

The Wireman trade trains students in electrical wiring, installation, and maintenance of domestic and industrial systems. ⚡ Trainees learn practical skills in circuits, fittings, and safe handling of electrical equipment. 🔧 The course emphasizes accuracy, safety standards, and troubleshooting techniques.
